Job Summary

A-I Windows and Doors is seeking an experienced residential window and door installer to join our team. This position averages approximately 30 hours per week and is ideal for a skilled craftsman who takes pride in quality workmanship, problem-solving, and customer satisfaction.


The ideal candidate will have experience in residential remodeling and finish carpentry and will receive training on A-I Windows and Doors installation standards, best practices, and product-specific guidelines.


Pay: Starting at $30+/hour based on experience.


Skilled Laborer Duties and Responsibilities

  • Install replacement and new construction windows
  • Install entry, patio, and interior doors
  • Perform finish carpentry work, including interior and exterior trim
  • Identify and resolve installation challenges and structural discoveries in the field
  • Maintain high standards for workmanship, jobsite cleanliness, and safety
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners regarding project updates, unforeseen
  • conditions, and changes in scope
  • Complete projects within established schedules and committed timeframes


Skilled Laborer Requirements and Qualifications

  • Minimum five years residential remodeling experience including construction experience and knowledge of window/door construction terms
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve in the field
  • Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and building practices
  • Experience with finish carpentry and trim work
  • Understanding of residential Connecticut building code
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs
  • Comfortable working on ladders and scaffolding
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Comfortable speaking with customers on structural discoveries, change of scope and setting new expectations
